Detailed instructions to integrate Carta with Comprehensive

How to set up the Carta integration

  1. Log into Comprehensive

  2. Go to Integrations in your company settings

  3. Click “Add Integration” under "Equity Integrations" and select Carta

  4. Follow the steps to connect your account to Comprehensive

    1. You'll be redirected to Carta to authorize account access

    2. Select the issuer accounts (companies) you'd like to grant Comprehensive access to

  5. You'll be redirected back to Comprehensive to complete setup

    1. Select Issuer (Company)

      1. Click "Add additional issuer" if you'd like to sync more than one issuer account. Note: If you have more than one issuer accounts in Carta, we only pull data from the issuers that you selected when completing the Carta integration setup.

    2. Choose which Security type(s) you'd like to sync over

Features

Once synced, Comprehensive will pull the following information from Carta for each employee, if applicable:

  • Option Grants

  • Restricted stock awards (RSAs)

  • Restricted stock units (RSUs)

Syncing options

  • By default, your Carta integration will sync nightly at 5pm PST

  • If needed, you can sync manually by clicking the green re-sync button on the Integrations page

Troubleshooting

  • If grants are missing for an employee, it's likely due to an email mismatch between Carta and Comprehensive

    • To fix, update the “Contact Email” in Carta to match the employee's Comprehensive email address
